Peter Wood is an award winning writer, pod-caster and photographer.

An active hunter, angler, I can often be found riding my ATV or paddling my kayak. Ontario’s great outdoors is my playground & lifestyle. 

A member of the Outdoor Writers of Canada (OWC) and the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), it has enabled me to travel to numerous locations around North America to experience fantastic fishing and hunting opportunities.

My bi-weekly outdoor column with the Dunnville Chronicle Newspaper have garnered 3 writing awards.

As a Field Editor for Ontario Out Of Doors Magazine I meet hunters & anglers all over Ontario to discover interview and write about their memories.

Are you ready to apply for your 2007 Deer tag?

If your a rifle, shotgun or bow-hunter for Deer, hopefully by now you received your 2007 Telephone Application System for Additional Deer Seal brochure in the snail mail.

By calling 1-800-288-1155 between August 7-31st you can apply for this years Deer seal. All seals will be sold on a first come first served basis so don’t forget!

Have your valid Outdoor card handy and credit card if your purchasing it over the phone. You can also mail in a check $36.66 to Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources , Additional Deer Seals, Fish * Wildlife Branch, 5th Floor, North Tower, 300 Water Street, Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 8M5

Check the brochure for the correct hunt code before you dial.

Check which season you want to hunt.

You can also apply for additional seals if that wildlife management zone is open.

It’s OFFICIAL Go Fishin is now Ripple Outdoors!

This is my first blog for Ripple Outdoors, as host of the show I hope to bring you the latest news on hunting and fishing in Ontario. Anglers & hunters can subscribe or tune in to listen to outdoor issues concerning them. As a graduate of the North American School of Outdoor Writing I certainly enjoy life in the outdoor media world. Hunting and fishing is part of my everyday life. Snippets from my award winning outdoor column in the Dunnville Chronicle Newspaper will also have my thoughts and views included. As a field editor for Ontario Out Of Doors magazine I will also have articles published from time to time. Ripple Outdoors Podcast Show will have informative guests who hunt and fish for a living. There will also be episodes with industry leaders of outdoor products featured.
