Food Plot Do’s & Don’ts

Last week a few selected lucky individuals were invited to tour Steve Elmy’s farm where he has a food plot planted.

Steve is the founder of Backyard Wildlife Products. He also belongs to the local Quality Deer Management Association  (QDMA) chapter.

LONG POINT WATERFOWLERS’ ASSOCIATION YOUTH HUNT

On the Saturday 4th October 2008 the LPWA will host a group of 20 youth and apprentice hunters to a very special experience. The day will include instruction in and demonstrations of firearms safety, waterfowl identification, decoy carving and setting techniques, duck and goose calling, retriever demonstrations, waterfowl processing and cooking and much more. Lunch including a waterfowl course will also be provided.

Presentations from conservation groups like , Ducks Unlimited Canada, Delta Waterfowl and The Long Point Waterfowl and Wetlands Research Fund.
