Advanced Taxidermy and Wildlife Design join list of dedicated sponsors for the 2008 Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open Bass Tournament

The Aurora Bassmasters are excited to announce that Advanced Taxidermy & Wildlife Design, whose fish re-creations are considered among the best in the world,will throw its respective support behind the Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open presented by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. Advanced Taxidermy’s commitment will lend to the championship stature of the event itself with the creation of a custom-trophy only fitting of this event.  “On behalf of the entire Advanced Taxidermy Team, we are very proud to lend our support to this exciting event.” said Shawn Galea, Proprietor, Advanced Taxidermy& Wildlife Design. “This is a natural extension of the work committed to Bass ProShops locations across North America. Where you find Bass Pro Shops, no matterthe city, you will also find the precision craftsmanship of Advanced Taxidermy.”“What better way to highlight the strengths of this fishery and the monster small-mouth bass it produces than by incorporating this into the trophy itself. We will endeavor to create a custom-trophy fitting of the Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open; coveted by Champions, past Champions and all competitors alike. Inpartnership with Bass Pro Shops, we will unveil the trophy for viewing once completed.” Galea concluded.  Herb Quan president of the Aurora Bassmasters added that, “On behalf of the entire Aurora Bassmasters chapter I’d like to thank both Shawn Galea and James McGregor of Advanced Taxidermy for their commitment. Limited Field … Early Application Encouraged:Competing anglers are encouraged to pre-apply as the second year field will be limited to 80t eams. NEW: Total entry fees per team will be $280; this includes $20 for Big Fish and $10for Launch. Anglers wishing to pre-apply should send a $50.00 non-refundable deposit(cheque) or the entire amount payable to Aurora Bassmasters: c/o Herb Quan 58 EnglishIvy Way, Willowdale, ON M2H 3M4. Payment in full must be received prior to September 30,2008. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the Team’s entry position. Cheques must accompany a completed 2008 Application Form available through www.aurorabass.com. AnApplication Form by itself does not automatically constitute entry; furthermore, theTournament Director reserves the right to refuse/deny entry. Outside the traditional 80% payout structure from entry fess, the overall payout fromrespective sponsors and various incentives and manufacturer bonuses, brings the actual payout to 125%. Additional announcements are pending in support of the BPS Lake SimcoeOpen by participating sponsors. In order to maintain the highest level of communication between tournament organizers andanglers prior to the event itself, we are asking all applicants to include their email addresseson the Application Form so that all notices and event-related messaging can be relayeddirectly to all interested parties.

 

 As new information is made available, it will be posted onthe Aurora Bassmasters site at www.aurorabass.com in the coming weeks and months.Application Forms and a complete listing of Rules, Regulations & General Liability will bemade available online through the Aurora Bassmasters.The Aurora Bassmasters are one of 30 clubs across the province belonging to the OntarioBASS Federation Nation at www.ontariobass.com.
