Strike King Coffee Tube Hidden Weight: Strike King will contribute $1,000 to an undisclosed Strike King Coffee Tube Hidden Weight Payout.

The Aurora Bassmasters are pleased to announce that Strike King has again thrown its support behind the exciting new partnership between their club and Bass Pro Shops Canada, Inc. Slated for Saturday, October 25^th, 2008,

The Bass Pro Shops Lake Simcoe Open presented by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky has fast become the premier one-day, team-format bass tournament in the country. “As the new hidden weight sponsor, we are thrilled to award $1,000 to the Team closest to (over or under) the undisclosed Strike King Coffee Tube Hidden Weight.”   “On behalf of Strike King, we are very proud to lend our support to this exciting new event.”said Lee Branscombe, Canadian Sales – Strike King (Integrity Outdoors).  “With a world class fishery such as Lake Simcoe, this tournament will no doubt establish record weights. As we look to the future, anglers of all inclinations will be drawn by the unique nature of the BPS Lake Simcoe Open, the payout structure(s) and the opportunity to compete against some of the best anglers in Canada.”

This tournament is recognized for continually setting and then breaking its own Canadian all time record for the five heaviest bass ever weighed in during a one day event.   It currently stands at 29.90 lbs for five massive smallmouth that were weighed in during the 2006 tournament. This competition highlights the tremendous bass fishery of one of the finest trophy lakes in North America.  At only an hour north of Toronto, Lake Simcoe is easily accessible to thousands of bass anglers.  The Aurora Bassmasters are one of 30 clubs across the province belonging to the Ontario BASS Federation Nation at www.ontariobass.com.
