Canadian Whitetail TV and SpyPoint Helping A Huntress Battle Cancer

Please Help This Hunter If You Can

Ok Folks, here’s a great chance to hunt, and a chance to help change a life.

This is very important so please take a moment and read below.

We’ve had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with an incredible young lady through mutual contacts in the hunting industry. Her name is Stefanie Hurt. Stefanie being a die hard hunter was amazing, but what really blew us away was that Stefanie is now currently battling Cancer. This is not new to Stefanie as this is already her 2nd fight with breast cancer.

Stef’s had far too many hard times in her 27 years of life, yet still works on encouraging others to be strong. She completes her chemotherapy treatment wearing a different superhero costume to each session to encourage others as well as teaching her todler that it takes strength and courage to be sick and still fight back, and that having cancer doesn’t mean you give up, that’s not what superheroes do, they never give up. Not letting cancer pull Stefanie down or stop her from doing what she loves, she schedules her chemotherapy and radiation sessions around her time in the woods hunting. Stefanies been a true inspiration to us and to thousands of other people, so when we brainstormed how we could give back to this amazing women and mother, raise awareness and help her, it became clear… Let’s take her huntin’!

That didn’t seem like it was enough though. The brutal truth is that while fighting, your medical costs can quickley become overwhelming, so we decided lets open the opportunity for someone else to join us! Never before have we offered this, however in this special circumstance we’ve put together a top notch hunting package for a GIANT Saskatchewan Whitetail, including your lodging, meals, hours of scouting, and outfitting you from head to toe with a Tikka Rifle, an Excalibur Crossbow, an Elite Bow, an Ozonics unit, Spypoint Trail camera and more! To add to this, WE will be there to be YOUR personal film crew on YOUR hunt for an upcoming episode of Canadian Whitetail TV.

This is your opportunity come hunting with myself and the Canadian Whitetail TV crew and more importantly help an amazingly inspiring girl. The hunt will be auctioned off silently starting now, and to place your offer please send us a message on the Canadian Whitetail Television Facebook page. This is open to ALL residents of North America and 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to The Stefanie Hurt Benifit fund, to help Stefanie stay focused on fighting and beating Cancer, again.

Please Share this post anywhere you can, lets go hunting and help change a life,

Whitetail Deer Experience Deep Snow With Less Food

Severe Winter Puts Ontario’s Deer Herds at RiskWhite-tailed deer in parts of Ontario are experiencing one of the worst winters in recent memory.

“Deep snow, hard crusts and frigid temperatures could result in significant mortality of adult deer and the loss of this spring’s fawn crop,” says OFAH Senior Wildlife Biologist Mark Ryckman. The MNR reports that most deer entered this winter in really good shape thanks to an abundance of natural foods in 2013; however, it remains likely that this year’s harsh winter conditions will still have an impact on many of central and northern Ontario’s deer herds.

In 1995, the OFAH established the DeerSave Fund to help members, clubs and partners deliver emergency winter deer conservation activities, such as browse cutting, trail breaking and emergency feeding. Mild winters have limited the need for emergency winter deer conservation in recent years, but the DeerSave Fund has been called upon when needed to provide targeted funding to aid struggling herds.

To learn more, call the OFAH at (705) 748-6324 extension 239 or visit

“We may not be in an emergency situation yet, but it is looking more and more likely that intervention will be required somewhere in the province,” said Ryckman. The OFAH is initiating discussions with MNR regional biologists to determine areas of the province that would benefit most from winter conservation efforts. In the meantime, concerned conservationists can help deer by packing down trails in areas frequented by deer, and by cutting preferred browse species (maples, birch, dogwood, sumac, hemlock, cedar, etc.).

“Conservationists can also help by contributing to the OFAH DeerSave Fund so we are ready to provide help when and where it is needed most,” added Ryckman.

Like other outdoor activities, it remains critically important to respect private property and keep safety in mind at all times when performing winter conservation efforts. The Federation only endorses deer feeding in emergency situations, and only according to science-based MNR guidelines.

With over 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters, and 710 member clubs, the OFAH is the province’s largest nonprofit, fish and wildlife conservation-based organization, and the VOICE of anglers and hunters. For more information, visit
