Fellow award winning writer, tournament angler and good friend Chris Hockley announced the grand prize winners of the Biggest Little Fishing Contest this week.
The Big Brothers & Big Sisters were helped out by sponsors such as Yamaha, and many local business donating fishing tackle to kids. Chris sent me this email with some of the details. For additional details and the full story check out Blitzcreek Pro Fishing

Rob Crawford of Port Perry was the lucky recipient. He received a prize package from Exide, Facts of Fishing, a number of items from Yamaha, a Carrot Stix fishing rod from e21 and of course the fishing trip with Chris and Jude St. John and Mike O’Shea of the Toronto Argonauts.
The 2nd place winner of a $750 prize pack from DT Powersports consisting of two custom DT Airrus Rods, two Shimano reels, hat, towel, two Lucky Craft lures, a soft plastic kit from Mizmo, a pair of Blue Water optics sunglasses and a DT tournament shirt. The winner was a child named Ryan.
The third place winner is also a child. His name is James and what was particularly special is the fact that he is part of the Big Brothers program that he donated his used gear to previously.
The Executive Director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters will make a final count of the rods, reels and tackle which will be donated to the Share Tackle program.
Congratulations to all the volunteers & sponsors and especially for helping young kids to get involved with fishing.
