Fellow hunter Edward managed to bag his first double on geese with his Browning 2o gauge auto.
Now some of you may say “Hey I do that all the time when I hunt”
Or if you like me you may say “Great shooting Edward, way to go!”
Edward has been hunting for a few years now and he has taken moose, deer, bear and gobblers with his Browning 20 gauge and Excalibur Crossbow.
His dad (80 year old) Irwin got Edward interested in hunting. Edward’s mom often also went along to help out.
You see it’s a tad more challenging when your in a motorized wheel chair and paralysed from the chest down.
Now that doesn’t slow Edward down much. You get him in location, load the gun and he is all set to hunt.
During our goose hunt we ( Jerry, Irwin & myself) disguised Edward as a bale of hay!
It worked great!

After the hunt Irwin and Jerry help Edward back to the van
That’s how Edward managed to take his first Canada Goose double!
Way to go Edward!
Hey Peter;
What a GREAT HUNT!! Seeing those geese lock their wings, and glide into our decoys is one of my favourite September sights. But spending quality time with family and friends on beautiful sunny days, (or miserable, cold, rainy days, when you wonder what the heck are we doing here) is what hunting/fishing really is about. It’s what I truly cherish….But getting that double was AMAZING!!!
looking forward to hunting with you again;
Edward
