Fined $1,000 for Shooting on Road

Two southern Ontario residents have pleaded guilty to shooting on a road.

Normand Poirier of Tiverton and Camille Poirier of Mount Brydges were each fined $500 for discharging their firearms down a roadway while hunting moose in the Chapleau District.

Court heard that on the morning of October 5, 2013, both hunters were standing in the middle of the Montreal River Road when they shot a cow and a calf moose.
