The Town of Grimsby is holding a public meeting to seek input into regulations relating to the discharge of firearms within the municipality.The meeting will take place as follows:Date: Monday, September 15, 2008
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Council Chambers, Municipal Office, 160 Livingston Avenue
Interested individuals and groups are invited to make presentations. Each presenter will be allowed a maximum of 10 minutes at the podium. Written comments are welcome and must be submitted to the undersigned by September 12, 2008, 12:00 noon. All such comments are considered public documents and will be made available at the meeting.
Persons wishing to present comments may:
• Submit a written request to the undersigned not later than 12:00 noon
on Friday, September 12, 2008
• Sign up to do so during the registration period before the meeting,
6:30 p.m. – 6:55 p.m.
• Attend the meeting
It is strongly suggested that those wishing to speak at the meeting submit a written request in order that all interested parties can be accommodated. The municipality reserves the right to change the venue/date of the meeting, any such change to be posted to the website and on the doors of the municipal office.A copy of a proposed by-law to prohibit the discharge of firearms within the Town of Grimsby, and the current by-law which has been in effect since 1976, is available here.
