I attended a 3D archery shoot over the weekend, what an awesome time.
I teamed up with Matt, a fellow 3 D- archer. Before setting out on the eleven stage, 42 arrow event we fired a few shots at the 20 yard practice block. Dave Gibson of Ten-point Archery and Taxidermy hosts this cool course, check it out here Ten-Point
Matt is a novice 3D shooter , as am I but he was quite pleased with his progress over the summer. His smile says it all with this once in a lifetime Robin Hood shot at 20 yards!
The 42 arrow , eleven stage event was as challenging as you wanted it.
With four shooting boxes at ten stages and two boxes at one stage you could make it as
easy or as hard as you wanted.
Shots ranged from 18-56 yards , give or take a few yards!
NO range finders or pacing off targets at this course!
It came close to actual hunting scenarios with tree stands and way to many branches in the way!
It’s a great way to tune up your shooting skills before bow season starts.
