The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, a major participant in the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show (T.S.S.), is pleased with the announcement that the event will be hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in 2010.

“We are proud to be a part of the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show, the largest outdoor event of its kind in Canada, and we couldn’t be more pleased to be moving with the show to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre,” said Mike Reader, O.F.A.H. Executive Director. “The new venue offers a central location, easy transit access, ample parking and the opportunity to expand. It’s a great move.”

The O.F.A.H. hosts several booths at the show and is the major sponsor, together with Ontario OUT OF DOORS magazine, of the T.S.S.’s Hunting Hall. For several years, the O.F.A.H. has timed its annual fish and wildlife conference to coincide with the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show so that its members, who gather from across the province for the O.F.A.H. conference, can also take in the Toronto show.

“With the support of conservation organizations like the O.F.A.H. and the outdoor industry, we are well positioned to grow the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show in our new home, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre,” said Ray Sriubiskis, Vice President, Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows. “We look forward to welcoming O.F.A.H. members to the new venue in 2010.”

The T.S.S. is one of several outdoor events run by the Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows (C.N.S.S.), a non-profit Corporation and the largest producer of boat, fishing, sportsmen’s, ski and outdoor shows in Canada. The Corporation raises funds to ensure that generations of young Canadians can benefit from Canada’s outdoors, and in 63 years, more than $30,000,000 has been committed to these causes. The O.F.A.H./Toronto Sportsmen’s Show Ringwood Fish Culture Station, O.F.A.H. TackleShare program and the O.F.A.H./Mario Cortellucci Hunting and Fishing Heritage Centre are among the recipients of C.N.S.S. grants.

With over 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters, and 655 member clubs, the O.F.A.H. is the largest nonprofit, charitable, fishing, hunting and conservation-based organization in Ontario, and the voice of anglers and hunters. For more information, visit www.ofah.org.
